Doc Anzalone had a very early exposure to the beer business and used it to physically work out, loading and unloading beer trucks at his father's and uncle's warehouse. With this strenuous exercise, he ultimately became captain of his high school football team and Penn Relay 440 Medalist. After graduating from high school, Doc attended Penn State University Main Campus, where he graduated with a Pre-Med Degree.
At Penn State, he and his brother Jim became well known entertainers and to this day, their music is available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, Barnes and Noble, and atAnzalone ProductionsLLC Pop Music & More. The Anzalone Brothers combine the refreshing sounds of folk/pop music from the 60's & 70's with a lighthearted and pleasant performance style.

Doc later attended the University of Rome Medical School, interned at Philadelphia General Hospital, University of Pennsylvania Division and did his residency at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital.
Returning to his hometown area, he provided family medical care to his patients for 25 years. He served as physician for Wyoming Seminary Prep School, College Misericordia, and during his Locum Tenens career he was on the faculty of Dartmouth Medical School as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine. |
Barb and Doc were married in the early 80's. She was Miss Pennsylvania USA, member of the original cast of ABC TV's "Dark Shadows", is a former Radio City Music Hall Rockette and now Vice President of the Rockette Alumnae Association in New York City.
Doc's dream of somehow steering the family back into the business that meant so much to his dad and uncles could not have been realized without the support and encouragement Barb has provided. As a matter of fact, it is a true family affair with Doc's wife, son and family all lending a hand in helping Anzalone Special Beer evolve from one man's dream into a reality we can all share.
